8) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking
8.1 Meta Pixel with Advanced Data Matching
Within our online offering, we use the service "Meta Pixel" in advanced data matching mode from the following provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta").
When a user clicks on an advertisement we have placed on Facebook or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended by a parameter using "Meta Pixel". This URL parameter is then recorded in the user's browser via a cookie that our linked page sets. Furthermore, this cookie captures specific customer data such as email addresses, which we collect on our website linked to the Facebook or Instagram advertisement during processes such as purchase completions, account logins, or registrations (advanced data matching). The cookie is then read, allowing for the transmission of data including specific customer data to Meta.
We use "Meta Pixel" with advanced data matching to make our advertisements (so-called "Ads") on Facebook and/or Instagram more effective and to ensure they align with user interests or have specific characteristics (e.g., interests in particular topics or products determined by visited websites), which we transmit to Meta (so-called "Custom Audiences").
Additionally, we analyze the effectiveness of our advertisements by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking an ad (conversion). Compared to the standard version of "Meta Pixel," the advanced data matching feature helps us better measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns by capturing more attributed conversions.
All transmitted data is stored and processed by Meta, allowing for association with the respective user profile and enabling Meta to use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta's data usage policies (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may allow Meta and its partners to serve ads on and off Facebook.
All the processes described above, particularly the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by disabling this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.
We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider, ensuring the protection of our website visitors' data and prohibiting unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
The information generated by Meta is generally transmitted to a server operated by Meta and stored there; this may also involve transferring data to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
8.2 Google Ads Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, within Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").
We use Google Ads to promote our attractive offers on external websites through advertising materials (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine the success of individual advertising measures concerning the data from the advertising campaigns. Our goal is to display ads that are of interest to you, make our website more engaging, and achieve a fair calculation of the incurred advertising costs.
The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad displayed by Google. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and do not serve to identify you personally. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, meaning cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with conversion tracking. However, they do not receive information that would allow them to identify users personally.
As part of using Google Ads, there may also be a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies through Google Ads conversion tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in.
To address users whose data we have received in the context of business or similar relationships, we use a customer matching function within Google Ads. For this purpose, we electronically transmit one or more files containing aggregated customer data (primarily email addresses and phone numbers) to Google. Google does not gain access to clear data; instead, the information in the customer files is automatically encrypted during the transmission process using a special algorithm. The encrypted information can only be used by Google to associate it with existing Google accounts set up by the individuals. This enables personalized advertising across all Google services linked to the respective Google account.
The transmission of customer data to Google only occurs if you have explicitly consented to this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
8.3 Google Ads Conversion Tracking Without Cookies
This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, within Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

We can determine the success of individual advertising measures concerning the data from the advertising campaigns. Our goal is to display ads that are of interest to you, make our website more engaging, and achieve a fair calculation of the incurred advertising costs.
This website uses Google Ads conversion tracking exclusively without the use of cookies, meaning that the service does not place cookies on your device at any time.
Instead, the local storage of your browser is used to store an individual ID assigned by Google, allowing for analysis of your use of the website. This involves processing certain user information through the ID.
The ID is set when a user clicks on an ad displayed by Google. If the user visits certain pages on this website, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, meaning cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected in this manner serves to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with conversion tracking.
However, they do not receive information that would allow them to identify users personally. As part of using Google Ads, there may also be a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
If the collected information is personally identifiable, the processing occurs in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the success of our advertising campaigns.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
