HuggyPal Talking Plush Kitten

Most electronic soft toys do one thing, loudly, until the batteries are taken out. The ones children actually keep are the ones that respond to being held rather than to a button.

The HuggyPal Talking Plush Kitten reacts to touch. Stroke it and it blinks and wags its tail. Turn it upside down and it snores. Hold its chin for three seconds and it starts repeating back whatever is said to it, in a small squeaky voice.

Cream fur with pastel rainbow ears and a hand-stitched face. Cat or dog, filled with PP cotton, and soft enough to be slept on.

Why You'll Love It

👋 It Responds To Being Held
Stroking makes it blink and wag. No buttons to press, so a small child works out how it behaves by cuddling it — which is what they were going to do anyway.

🗣 The Repeating Is The Best Part
Hold its chin until it beeps and it echoes everything back in a silly voice. Children talk to it for far longer than you would expect.

😴 Turn It Over And It Snores
A small detail that children find hilarious and that also makes it a natural thing to take to bed.

🧸 Soft Before It Is Electronic
Plush and PP cotton throughout, with the works tucked deep inside. It is a cuddly toy that happens to do things, not a gadget wearing fur.

🌈 Pastel Rainbow Ears
Cream body with soft pink, blue and yellow. It photographs beautifully, which is half the reason these get given as presents.

🔇 It Can Be Switched Off
Turn the sound off and it is an ordinary soft toy. Useful at bedtime and in the back of a car.

🎁 A Present With A Reveal
It looks like a normal plush until it blinks. The moment it does is worth the wrapping paper.

🐶 Cat Or Dog
Same functions, different animal. Households with two children usually end up with one of each.

🫂 Comforting To Have Around
Something that responds when touched is genuinely soothing for a child who is unsettled, ill or away from home.

🧺 Surface Clean
Spot-clean the fur with a damp cloth. A little loose fibre on arrival is normal — a hairdryer on cool lifts it off.

Before You Give It

Batteries are not included, so buy them with it rather than finding out on the morning. Fit them before wrapping if you can.

Ear colour varies slightly between units, which is normal for this toy. It is not suitable for babies who put everything in their mouths.
