Blind boxes are everywhere and most of them are the same: open a bag, get a figure, done in four seconds. The ones children remember are the ones where something actually happens.
The ShakeReveal Magic Christmas Jar takes thirty seconds and a jar of water. Drop the coloured block in, shake it, and the outer layer dissolves away to reveal a soft Christmas character hiding inside — a Santa, a reindeer, a snowman or an elf.
Which one you get is a surprise. One jar is sent at random from the Christmas range.

Good to Know
🫙 How it works: add water, shake for about 30 seconds, the figure appears
🎁 Supplied: 1 jar, chosen at random from the range
🎅 Characters: Santa, reindeer, snowman, elf and more
🧸 Figure: soft and squashy once revealed
🧒 Age: 14 years and over
Why You'll Love It
🪄 The Reveal Is The Toy
Shaking a cloudy jar and watching a face appear through the water is far better theatre than opening a foil bag. Children call people over to watch.
🎲 You Do Not Know Which One
Random from the Christmas range. That is the part that makes people want a second one.
🫧 Thirty Seconds, Not Thirty Minutes
Long enough to build anticipation, short enough for a small child's patience.
🧸 The Figure Is Soft
Squashy rather than hard plastic, so it gets kept and squeezed instead of being put on a shelf.
🎄 A Proper Advent Idea
Several of these across December gives each day something to open with an actual event in it.

🫙 Nothing Else Needed
Water and a glass. No batteries, no tools, no waiting for anything to set.
👯 Better With More Than One
Two children with one each, shaking at the same time, is the way these are meant to be used.
🎁 A Good Small Present
Cheap, light and immediately understood. One of the better things for a party bag or a stocking.
🎥 It Films Well
The reveal is a complete little moment, which is why these spread the way they do.
🏠 Afterwards It Is An Ornament
The revealed figure sits on a shelf, a desk or the edge of the bathroom mirror for the rest of the year.
Doing The Reveal
Unscrew the lid, fill to the line with water, close it tightly and shake. Rub away any crumbs on the surface with a damp cloth. If the figure looks flat, soak it in water again and it plumps back up.
Do it over a sink the first time. Rated 14 and over — the dissolved material and the small figure are not for young children.
Shake it and see who turns up 🎅
