Pottery classes are lovely, but they are also booked up, far away and over in an hour. Children who catch the bug want to keep going at home, at the kitchen table, on a Sunday.

The SpinClay Kids' Pottery Wheel Kit is a small electric wheel with everything needed to throw a first pot and then paint it: clay, tools, paints and brushes.

The wheel is shaped like a friendly little dinosaur and comes in purple or blue. Two blocks of air-dry clay are included, so no kiln is needed.

Good to Know

🏺 Clay: 2 blocks of air-dry clay, no kiln needed
⚙️ Wheel: low-speed electric wheel with a pedal
🔌 Power: USB cable
🎨 Painting: 12 paint pots, 2 brushes, palette
🛠️ Tools: shaping tools, cutting wire, sponge
🎨 Colours: purple or blue

Why You'll Love It

🌀 A Real Spinning Wheel
Hands on wet clay and the shape rises as the wheel turns. That moment is why people love pottery, and this gets children there at home.

🐢 Slow And Steady
A low-speed wheel is easier to control for small hands than a full-size one. Less flying clay, more pots.

🦶 Pedal Control
The wheel runs off a separate pedal, so both hands stay free for the clay.

☀️ No Kiln, No Oven
The clay dries in the air. Make it one day, paint it the next, keep it for good.

🎨 Paint It Afterwards
Twelve colours, two brushes and a flower palette. Half the fun is decorating the pot once it is dry.

📦 Everything In One Box
Wheel, clay, tools, sponge, paints, brushes and instructions. Nothing extra to buy before the first go.

🔌 USB Powered
Power comes through the included USB cable. No batteries to buy and none to run flat mid-pot.

👨‍👩‍👧 Grown-Ups Want A Turn
It is designed for children, but most parents end up at the wheel too. A good shared project for a rainy weekend.

🧘 Calm, Focused Play
Centring clay needs patience and steady hands. It is one of the few activities that slows children down by itself.

🎁 A Present With Results
The pots they make become presents of their own, for grandparents, teachers or the windowsill.

First Pots And Tidying Up

Keep the clay damp while you work, with the sponge and a small bowl of water nearby. Start with a small lump in the centre of the wheel and work slowly. Cut finished pieces off with the wire and leave them to dry fully before painting.

Cover the table first. Wipe the wheel clean after use and keep leftover clay wrapped tightly so it does not dry out.

Spin it, shape it, paint it 🏺
